Smart Technology
Ventures (STV) is a leading early and mid-stage SBIC venture
capital fund based in Southern California. STV has built a
strong reputation for its deep technical expertise and ability to
develop technology businesses. We focus on investing in core
technology areas such as wireless communications, semiconductors,
storage, software, broadband, and photonics. STV typically
invests $3 - $8 million over the life of an investment. The
Fund’s founder was a leading early stage investor in Qualcomm and
remains a major shareholder today. STV has solid working
relations with a number of Corporate Venture Capital firms
including Intel Capital and Qualcomm Ventures. In addition,
Qualcomm's Senior Vice President of Technology, Dr. Charles E.
Wheatley, is a Technical Advisor to the fund.
